Hi, My name is Chame.
I am here to tell you why. It all started on race day. I was going to watch my big brother Grimm run in a Fast Cat race. Me and my dad were sitting in the back of the SUV with the tail gate open. About that time a big dog came walling by and said hello in my big dog voice, apparently the big dog did not like what I had to say. Because he jumped at me. Luckily my dad caught him in midair and popped him on his nose and yelled NO in his big Dad voice. He then told the owner to keep better control over their dog. The owner told him to mine his own business and walled away. Later on that day that same dog attacked another dog and bit part of his ear off. That is when me and my dad decided that we needed a place where all dogs could be safe, and that is how I came up with the idea for Fast-Dogs and is why I am in the Hall of Fame.
You might be asking, "Why is this little dog in the Hall of Fame?" Well, let me tell you my story.
Hi, I'm Chance, and I was the very first member of the Fast-Dogs Hall of Fame. It all started with a scary experience at a Fast CAT race. I was just a pup then, tagging along with my dad to watch my big brother, Grimm, compete.
We were relaxing in the back of our SUV with the tailgate down when suddenly, a huge dog came charging towards me, barking aggressively. My dad, being the hero he is, caught the dog mid-air and gave him a little pop on the nose, telling him "NO!" in his firmest Dad voice. He even told the owner to control their dog, but they just shrugged it off.
Later that day, that same dog attacked another dog, causing a serious injury. That's when I realized something needed to change. All dogs, big or small, deserve to feel safe and have fun at competitions. That's when the idea for Fast-Dogs was born!
We created Fast-Dogs with a focus on safety and inclusivity. We have different track sizes for dogs of all sizes and abilities, and we make sure everyone feels welcome and protected.
So, that's why I'm in the Hall of Fame. Not for my speed or agility, but for helping create a safe and fun space for all dogs to enjoy the thrill of competition. And that's something I'm truly proud of!
The crowd erupted as a small, tan blur shot across the stage, a tiny dust cloud trailing in its wake. The announcer's voice boomed through the stadium, "And the winner is... Grimm!" This was no ordinary victory. This was history in the making. Grimm, the miniature dachshund who had defied all expectations, had just been inducted into the Fast-Dogs Hall of Fame.
Grimm wasn't your typical dachshund. While most of his kin preferred leisurely naps and belly rubs, Grimm lived for the thrill of the chase. His short legs were a blur of motion as he tore down the track, his long ears flapping in the wind like flags of victory.
His journey to fame began in the small town of Saint Hedwig, Texas, where he discovered his love for Fast-Dogs Racing. He dominated the competition, becoming the #1 dachshund on all three track sizes – 25, 50, and 100 yards. He wasn't just fast; he was a phenomenon, proving that size wasn't everything in the world of speed.
Grimm's fame quickly spread beyond Texas. In the 2024 AKC Fast CAT racing season, he became the top-ranked dachshund in the entire country, leaving his longer-legged competitors in the dust. His signature move, a low-to-the-ground, lightning-fast dash, became legendary.
But Grimm wasn't in it for the glory. He simply loved to run, the wind whipping through his fur, the lure always just out of reach. His dedication and passion inspired countless other small dogs and their owners, proving that even the smallest competitor could achieve greatness.
Now, with a Hall of Fame induction under his collar, Grimm had his sights set on one final challenge: the 2025 AKC Fast CAT National Invitational. This was the pinnacle of the sport, where the fastest dogs in the nation battled for the ultimate title.
Although the race was over 6 months away. Grimm had a dream that he was the underdog champion, was ready to prove once again that heart and determination could outrun any obstacle. He knew this would be his last race before retirement, a chance to leave his mark on the sport he loved. And as he stood at the starting line, a tiny warrior ready to take on the world, the crowd chanted his name, their cheers echoing the sentiment in every heart: "Run, Grimm, run!"
I gust we will see if dreams really do come true. Hope to see you there.
